Discovery Academy Donation Day
On January 15th, 2024 Discovery Academy is hosting a special event dedicated to giving back to our school community. We invite all students, parents, and staff to participate in our Discovery Academy Donation Day, where we aim to collect and share essential items with each other.
If there's anything specific you or your family need this holiday season—clothing, shoes (with sizing), toys, games, food, or anything the kids may have on their wish list—please email Ms. Heather.
We will begin accepting donations on January 2nd.
Donation Day Details
Date: January 15th, 2024
Time: 10am - 2pm
Location: Discovery Academy
Who: All students, parents, and staff are invited to participate
What: We'll have designated tables for giving and taking, making it easy for everyone to contribute and benefit. We will begin accepting donations on January 2nd.
Donation ideas: Please bring anything you think would be helpful for another family. Here are some ideas:
Clothing: Gently used or new clothing items for all ages and sizes
Shoes: Any footwear in good condition, from kids' shoes to adult sizes
Toys & Games: Unopened or gently used toys and games for children
Books: New or gently used books for all ages
Non-perishable Food Items: Canned goods, dry foods, and other non-perishable items
Baked goods: Any sweet treats such as cookies, brownies, or cupcakes are welcome
Book Fair & Baked Goods Sale
At the same event, we're hosting a special book fair where donated books will be available for purchase at incredibly affordable prices ($0.50 to $1). Additionally, indulge your sweet tooth with delicious baked goods on sale! Any funds raised by the book fair and bake sale will go towards fun activities in the Spring.
